Milk River boasts a variety of recreational facilities, which provide services and facilities to the residents of Milk River and the surrounding region. These include ballparks, soccer fields, bowling alley, a 9-hole golf course and the Milk River and District Civic Centre that houses the library, a curling rink and outdoor swimming pool. The two schoolyards, Block 39 Park, ball diamonds and the Kinsmen Park provide a concentrated amount of open space in the north central part of town. A campground, picnic area and the tourist information centre are located on the southeast end of town, making them very accessible to tourists.

The Milk River Curling Rink is a three sheet facility, with a lounge and viewing area upstairs. Leagues and bonspiels are scheduled each year, and all ages and skill levels are welcome.

This outdoor facility is open in the summer months from about the third week of June to the end of August. Swimming lessons are offered as well as aqua-fitness, conditioning swims, a spray park and public swimming. Call the town office to book lessons, or “click” below for schedule and program information, or to rent for private functions.

The Milk River Civic Centre is a quality facility for recreation, including a large gym, stage, kitchen, bar and rooms for karate and other pursuits. Roller skating, basketball and other sports are common to this facility. The facility is available for rent, with a $40 key deposit.
