The Horizon School Division is a rural school jurisdiction running south-north from Coutts on the Canada/US border to Lomond in the County of Vulcan. The Division provides education services to approximately 3,500 students and consists of 16 schools of various grade configurations, including two outreach schools. Additionally, there are 15 Hutterite Brethren schools scattered throughout the Division.

The Milk River Municipal Library has much to offer to the residents of Milk River and area. The services provided include a wide variety of books, magazines, DVD’s, and videos for adults, young adults and children. As well, with a library card you have access to the Chinook Arch Library System, where books can be ordered from 28 other libraries at no extra charge. The library also offers computer and internet access free of charge.

The County of Warner Further Education Council is a non-profit organization funded by Alberta Learning, Community Programs and serves the County of Warner including the communities of Coutts, Masinasin, Milk River, New Dayton, Raymond, Stirling, Warner and Wrentham. Educational classes are offered in the fall and spring. Class listings are published and costs and locations are included.
Preschool Education
There are three preschool programs that run at different times of the year in Milk River, Warner and Coutts for 4-5 year olds. Programs are advertised in the County of Warner Further Education Booklet.
